Singapore, December 10 2020 — SourceSage is enabling Singapore merchants access to a wider set of buyers and suppliers in the Business sans Borders (BSB) ecosystem by connecting to Proxtera, a meta-platform connecting B2B e-commerce platforms globally.

At the opening speech of Singapore Fintech Festival 2020, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat pointed out how Singapore is levelling up the capabilities of its small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by helping them adopt digital solutions and scale beyond its shores. To enable B2B commerce across geographies, the BSB initiative was started. He cited how a home-grown furniture maker has used Singapore-based B2B platform SourceSage to connect globally to other digital marketplaces, discover more buyers and acquiring a new buyer on an Indian business-to-business platform.

SourceSage is an active partner in the BSB network. Led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), BSB seeks to connect different B2B platforms, help SMEs seamlessly access a much larger ecosystem of buyers, sellers, and logistics, finance and digital solution providers.

SourceSage is working closely with Proxtera Pte Ltd, a private sector consortium setup to realise the BSB vision, by offering e-commerce solutions for SMEs. In the Pilot phase, Proxtera has successfully facilitated live trades across a number of participating platforms. The meta-platform utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to enable SMEs to discover prices and sales opportunities in a larger global marketplace, access various supply chains, and easily source for and utilise relevant digital and financial solutions. In partnership with Proxtera, SourceSage provides end-to-end B2B e-commerce platform capabilities, including setting up a customised web store, managing payment gateway integration, offering logistics and shipping support, handling digital promotions, and offering insights from big data analytics. We are open to work with trade associations to expediently enable its members access to the digital economy, and with SME buyers and suppliers seeking to reach a global marketplace through a single local B2B e-commerce platform.
